Dear All, due to over subscription to the conference, we have now changed the
venue. The conference will take place at SAID BUSINESS SCHOOL.

The conference is oversubscribed and there are no places left. However, registration will remain open (until 2pm on Saturday 15 November 2pm)  and from now on registrants will be put on a waiting list and notified individually if places become available.

To assist us in hosting the conference we are privileged to have Prof. Peter Oppenheimer of Christ Church as our convener and Prof. Shai Feldman, of the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University, Boston, and Baroness Ruth Deech, former principal of St. Anne’s College, Oxford as members of our Advisory Committee. Finally, the organizers include Anna Sher, Avi Rozen and Naomi Berlin.

The conference will cover both Israeli and UK Perspectives on Israel today addressing questions of Identity, Social and Economic Factors, Security Challenges and International Relations and the role of these in The Peace Process in the Middle East Today.

This is an opportunity to hear and meet such distinguished speakers as Shlomo Avineri (Professor of Political Science at Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Peter David (Foreign Editor, The Economist), Shai Feldman (Director of the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University), Stanley Fischer (Governer of the Bank of Israel), Dan Meridor (International Chair of the Jerusalem Foundation; former Minister of Justice (1992-96) and of Finance (1996-97)), Gideon Rachman (Chief Foreign Affairs Columnist, The Financial Times), Asser Susser (Director, External Affairs; Senior Research Fellow at the Moshe Dayan Center), Yael Tamir (Minister of Education in Israel) and others.

The conference will take place from 9.30am to 6.30pm. There will be a free lunch, refreshments and drinks reception during the day.

The registration desk will be open from 9:00 - 9:30am, please come and collect your name badge and program.
